Women across South Florida choose Memorial for a wide variety of services: breast imaging, bone density tests, maternity care, education classes and support groups.

Our Women’s Imaging Centers, located at Memorial Regional Hospital South, Memorial Hospital West and Memorial Hospital Miramar, offer the latest technology and an expert staff dedicated entirely to breast cancer prevention and detection. The centers’ board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologists have trusted expertise because they specialize in reviewing only breast images.

Memorial was one of the first 16 sites in the country selected to participate in Tomosynthesis research, and the first in Florida to offer this innovative 3D mammogram. All of our Women’s Imaging Centers have been designated as American College of Radiology (ACR) Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence.

More than half of all babies in Broward County are delivered in Memorial’s Family Birthplace locations at Memorial Regional Hospital, Memorial Hospital West and Memorial Hospital Miramar.

The Family Birthplace provides support, education and high-quality maternity services to help women have a healthy pregnancy and delivery and a comfortable hospital experience. New parents can now share photos of their newborns online with family and friends through Memorial’s Web Nursery with a secure personal identity code.

Memorial also teaches new mothers how to breastfeed successfully and how breastfeeding benefits their babies. Breastfeeding classes, educational materials, in-hospital support and breast pump rentals and sales are available through our Lactation Services.
